There are times when I want to make something special for dinner but just don’t have the energy to really get in there and cook. I want something great but easy. Thanks to Campbell’s I can do just that. Campbell’s Skillet Sauces are are new and take only 15 minutes There are currently six sauces available: Creamy Chipotle, Marsala, Thai Green Curry, Toasted Sesame, Fire Roasted Tomato, and Scampi.
I received four of the six and decided that I would try the Marsala and Toasted Sesame because they were the least spicy. The package says that each sauce will make enough for two or more. So I thought I would do both just in case there was only enough for two people. The package says to heat oil, add in your meat (protein) or vegetable and cook until brown, then stir in your sauce and heat to a boil. Reduce heat for five minutes and cook meat til tender. I cooked my chicken completely first then added in the sauces. I also added a little water to thin the sauces just a bit.
I paired my Skillet Sauces with only fried rice and pasta because I wanted to really taste the sauce. I didn’t want a lot of other flavors over powering anything. The Marsala made a lot, in fact I could easily feed four or five people with it alone. The Toasted Sesame made enough for maybe three people. The Toasted Sesame was my favorite because it really reminded me of Sesame Chicken you get at a restaurant. The Marsala really wasn’t my thing but that doesn’t mean that some of you won’t like it.
All in all it took me maybe 20 minutes to cook everything but like I said I cooked my chicken completely first which added a little time. I was very pleased with how simple and easy to use the Campbell’s Skillet Sauces were and because they are made by Campbell’s I felt confident using them. The other great thing is that the Marsala had only 60 calories and the Toasted Sesame had only 40. In fact none of the sauces are over 70 calories which make them perfect if you are dieting.
You can find Campbell’s Skillet Sauces at grocery stores nationwide. They are alongside boxed dinner kits, marinades, sauces, gravy or broth. I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I have to try these-I’ve always used Campbell’s for recipes and their ideas they give you always turn out to be very good. I think it’s ‘cool’ that they are coming out with some different style products.I think I’d love the sesame too, I’m a big sesame chicken fan when we eat out. Thanks for the detailed review & opinions of them.

20 minutes to cook everything…that is great. I don’t like cooking so anything that takes little time, I appreciate.

I’ll try these. I love to start with already made sauces then jazz up the recipes. It lets us enjoy great flavors without having to keep every seasoning in stock in my kitchen.
