Celebrating the 4th of July

I am taking the entire weekend off in order to celebrate the 4th of July with  my family and friends. It is sincere hope that each and every one of you will be doing something similar. We actually have a really busy weekend with lots of things going on. We have homeschool lessons this morning where we will be study Independence Day and the meaning behind it.

Then tomorrow we have some things going out at the base we live near as well as in town itself. I think we have a barbecue thing that will be going on along with a little parade that I will be taking the kids to. Not to mention I want to take them to the beach at Callaway Gardens if I can work it in. They have such a good time and I have rented us a cabin for the weekend at the state park.

Now I know that I could have just as easily stayed home but the best part of the cabins is there is no internet or television. They are roughing it which I love and will the kids and I a chance to simply enjoy ourselves without all of the distractions. I will be back home late Monday and will check emails and such then. Tuesday I will back to my regular work schedule.
