I thought I would check in a little bit with y’all after such a long weekend. I took a few days off to celebrate the Easter holiday with my family. Now, though I am back at work and things are going pretty well. We are of course keeping up the social distancing and I have work to keep me busy. I thought I would share a few updates on things going on around plus share an amazing giveaway hop brought to you by The Mommy Island and The Kids Did It.
I will tell you we have gotten a lot done on the back porch. I know I showed y’all where we redid it and I’m awaiting one more thing I ordered to come in and then I will show the updated look. It is awesome. Oh wait, two more things! We have added a few things, and replaced a couple of other ones to help make it even more enjoyable. I’m so excited for you to see it.
We spent Easter as a family (as much as we could) with plenty of FaceTime chats. Although, I went to FaceTime my brother yesterday and answered then hung up. He texted me saying he did not even want to look at my pie eating face. He loves pecan pie and we always have one. However his wife doesn’t so he doesn’t always get one. I honestly wasn’t planning on eating it in front of him, though I did send pictures later. I mean girl gotta get laughs where she can these days.

Now it’s been 2 months since I’ve left the house. I will admit that I’m going a little stir crazy.. The last few days have been a roller coaster ride. My sister-in-law reported my 54 year old brother missing on Thursday night. He had been last seen since Thursday morning. His truck was found on my mother’s wooded property that evening, but no brother Ernie. A large group of law enforcement, fire departments, friends, neighbors showed up and they started searching. They even had drones with FLIR (detects body heat). Unfortunately it started snowing. They searched until about 2:30 that night.
They started early the next day. They discovered trail cam footage of him walking but from the day before at about 4:30 p.m. They were searching on the wrong side of the river! He had managed to cross the river. So they moved their command center to the other side of the river. They searched until about nightfall but still no Ernie. By this time I was really down emotionally. I wasn’t sure he could spend two nights out there.
About an hour later, my nephew got a phone call from one of the deputies. Someone had found Ernie walking out of the timber onto plowed ground! I shed tears of joy!
Adriane says

We’re doing okay. Just trying not to go stir crazy. We have 6 kids and they could really use a break from each other. My husband is a nurse so he’s still working as are my two oldest sons. My 19 year old is a CNA at a nursing home and he just found out today that one of the residents tested positive so he’s worried about her and the other patients. All in all, we’re getting by but we all long for just a little normalcy.

I’m okay-ish, [for] now. Going through the same heavy stressors that I’ve been dealing with for years now, but some other Bad Things / News seemed to crash down on me all at once, around the middle and end of March. And similar to a commenter just above, one of my cats is also sick. It’s been devastating. …The “wait and see” of it all, among other things, has been stressful. My heart goes out to all, and I want to send an extra note of care for those trying to deal with issues related to mental health.

I am not doing ok, this isolation has put me into a deep depression, I already suffer from extreme anxiety and depression.
i find it hard to get up everyday and be motivated to get any work done if any gets done at all. I can not afford to run my business and its so small its not even considered a small business lol, i feel like I am letting everyone on twitter down.
We do a lot for everyone and now it seems like i can’t do anything for anyone. I wish this would all just go away and life would return to some sort of normalcy. I feel like we are living in a twighlight zone!
