Cheese Board Set by Great Beyond Creations

I don’t know about all of you but I have never had a cheeseboard. I always wanted one but for one reason or another I never got it. So you know I jumped at the chance for one. Great Beyond Creations has a cheese board set that I was very eager to use and hopefully enjoy. What I really want is to have some friends over and give it a go but sadly I had to settle for the family.

Yep I said sadly because these fools were eating the cheese two days before I got the cheese board set to give it a go. Then when I went to do the pictures for the board I had to go the store, twice, only to forget the cheese both times. I live in the middle of nowhere so getting the store is not always easy. Our little local store only has one kind of block cheese and if they are sold out you’re out of luck.

The Great Beyond Creations Cheese Board Set comes with everything you need including: a large cheese platter, a set of four knives for cutting cheeses, six display markers for labeling the cheeses, a gold pen, and chalk in a gift box. Now my gift box got messed up in shipping which I am certain was an Amazon thing and not the company. It is really heavy and didn’t have enough of the packing pillows in there. So when it slide around in shipping the sides of the box torn apart. Since it was for me I didn’t mind but if I had been a gift I would have been really upset.

The platter or board is top quality made with a dark slate (that I love and really gives it the weight) and a bamboo trim around the edges. It is more than large enough to hold several cheeses and you can use the chalk on it to write the name of the cheese or a pretty message.  It has to be hand washed and towel dried but do not soak it in the water. 

The stainless steel knives are awesome! They cut cheese like it was butter and are not overly heavy or weighty. Each one measures five inches long and a half inch wide.. They also must be hand washed and are NOT dishwasher or microwave safe. They have to be stored in a place with ventilation but for me that is not a problem. Like I said for me keeping or even getting the cheese seems to be the problem. The ceramic labels are perfect for writing your cheese names and then sticking it in the block of cheese.
