It’s the last month of the year and for most of us it’s also the busiest month of the year! We made it..almost to another year. As a child I never thought about that other than finally get old enough to do certain things. As an adult I am amazed at the end of every year. There is so much that happens and this one has been full of things for me and my family.
Welcome to the Christmas 2021 Giveaway!
Once again the giveaway is pretty much the same as it was last time both here and over at Wickedly Romance. I didn’t see the point in changing something that works well. I managed ot get quarter one of next year planned. I told y’all it would eventually come together and it has. I won’t tell you any of those plans just yet. There are a few things I like to keep a surprise.
Throughout this month I have a 25 Days of Me special that I am sharing with y’all. It’s just something new to learn about me every day. A way for those who are knew to understand me and my weird self. For those who have been with me a while some of this is old news, and some may be new. I did strive to share things y’all may not have known.
I will also be sharing some of my favorite holiday memories and other parts of my past. I think there may be an old picture shared. I haven’t decided because truthfully, the entire family looks like we were forced to smile. We were if you want to know. A friend made a comment about families not taking many group pictures anymore and when I thought about it I knew I only had one of my dad’s family with all of us in it. My mother is hidden, my uncle has his then girlfriend and her kids in the picture. There was a lot of anger that day over that. No one is really looking like that want to be there. However, since half of the people in the picture have since passed away I treasure it.

My most memorable (but sad) Christmas was the first one we celebrated in Canada, after we emigrated from Switzerland. I missed my Granny so much. We got a surprise parcel, though, from her. It had Swiss chocolates, Swiss cheese, small toys for my baby brother and I, and a bunch of yarn for my mom. Also, hand-knit sweaters. But…my dad’s sweater fit my mom, my mom’s fit me, mine fit my brother, and my brother’s fit my doll. Poor dad, didn’t get one!

When i want to be happy i return with my mind those times, and remember who is not present with me anymore but lives on our beloved memories.
