Well it is official!! Christmas is only 1 day away and I don’t know about all of you but we are ready. Well as ready as we can be. One of the big things for us today is Midnight Mass. Being Catholic means today will be full of naps and getting ready for the big guy to make his appreance later on. We are keeping up with with where he is today so we can make sure he makes his stop here.
We also have a family meal tonight with my sister in-law’s mother and family. I love getting together with them and they actually play a game called Dirty Santa where each adult buys a gender neutral gift not spending over $10 and then wraps it. We draw numbers and then each person goes in order of their number. They can choose a gift from the table or take another person’s gift and that person must choose a new one. It’s a fun game although I do believe that the person who goes last has the best options. It’s just a way of saving money and not having to buy every single person a gift. The kids of course all get a gift which makes things easier.
Of course then once everything is done we send the kiddos to bed, put together anything that needs to be put together, and we wait. Charlie and I always wake up before everyone else and it is all we can do not to run screaming through the house waking everyone up. What is with these kids? They will sleep late if given the chance. I mean don’t they know that Christmas morning is the one morning of the year that you are suppose to get up early? Charlie and I get so excited and we don’t even have that many gifts!
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I hope you have a nice meal with your family. I’m very grateful our Christmas Eve service is at 5:30, so we don’t have to stay up too late. I hope you have a Merry Christmas!
