I can’t believe that my niece will be graduating from college soon. I feel so old yet it seems more like yesterday that she was going through my nail polish and asking me to paint her nails or to play with my ceramic ballerinas (yep I had those!) Her and I have a special bond because the day my father was taken out of the house before he passed away she was with me. She was two and I will never forget her looking up at me and saying “Papa isn’t coming back anymore.” She was just so calm about it all and I felt so sad for her, more than for myself.

  1. I would choose the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX. My son graduated from there and just mentioned needing to frame his diploma..really, just mentioned it about a week ago!
