Now that we are in the middle of spring – most of us are looking for an excuse to clean the home top to bottom to make it look spick and span. Cleaning is an important part of homeownership and most of us are in constant pursuit of tips to make the process easier.
Today we want to make your life easier when cleaning the house and share with you some simple tricks to clean without the fuss or the effort.
Unblock the drain in a breeze
One of the most annoying household jobs to do is cleaning the drains. It’s so important now and again to unclog the drains, and a good bio drain cleaner can make your life a whole ton easier. There’s no need to wrestle with pipe cleaners – instead, pour a kettle full of boiling water down the drain which will loosen up all of the grease and other dirt and then use a drain cleaner that will break it all down in no time.
Soak your shower head
Cleaning your shower head is one of those tasks that can be fiddly and time-consuming. One of the ways to make this easier for yourself is by grabbing some bleach and a ziplock bag. Place your showerhead into the bag, add some bleach, and top it up with water. Leave this for a few hours or overnight and then watch how the mold and dirt just melt away. Make sure you run the shower for a few minutes before using it again to make sure all of the bleach and dirt are gone.
Use baking soda and vinegar for tough pans
After cooking a meal such as a steak you’ll likely have a few hard-to-clean stains left on the surface of your pan. Instead of wasting countless minutes scrubbing at the pan with a scourer that may do more damage than good – use this easy trick. First, sprinkle some baking soda over the surface of the pan. Then, pour white vinegar over the top. This will fizz a lot and the reaction will break down grease and burnt bits in no time. Leave it for 30 minutes and when you rinse it away the grease will come away with no problems.
Clean the oven with foil
Have you ever noticed how dirty the glass doors of your oven get? Trying to clean these doors can be harder than most other tasks and we wouldn’t blame you for giving up. However, one way to easily clean this surface is to scrunch up some tin foil into a ball and use this alongside a cleaning solution to scrub away the stains. It will take you much less time and you’ll soon be left with an oven that looks as good as new.
Get rid of mold with bleach
If you have ever noticed black mold on your seals in the bathroom or around windows – it can be hard to clean off. That’s why applying some bleach to a kitchen towel and laying this over the seal overnight is a godsend. Try this tip and you’ll never go back!
