I have allergies which of course leads to the dreaded allergy face! I never know when this is going to happen because I don’t always know when I go somewhere there will be an allergen. I am severely allergic to long-haired cats and these are usually the biggest cause of my allergy face. The way I look when this happens freaks my sister in-law out.
Usually it starts with my eyes itching which leads to them the swelling up and looking blood-shot. There was once though that I thought my eyeball was going to leak out. It was all funny looking and the white part had actually looked like it has swollen separate from everything else. What had happened was a cat hair had gotten down in there and cause havoc. Luckily now I know what to do.
My mama allows told me to take a damp wash cloth and lay it over the affected area. If there is a hair or something in there it will help draw it out. I make sure the cloth is cold because it will also help bring the swelling down. I also begin drinking plenty of water so I can help with any puffiness and help keep myself from over eating. Which is something I do when I feel bad. Of course I also take an allergy medicine to help!

I hate allergy issues. We have to take my grandson in because he has had trouble since birth and I keep telling my daughter I think it is from her long haired animals. I believe I have the same issues but not as severe as yours. My bedroom is where I notice issues and that is where all her 3 animals like to hang out…lucky me.

That is so true about allergies. I have seemed to got rid of most of mine, but I am allergic to weeds. They make me sneeze and get watery eyes if I try to pull them. My sister has terrible allergies, and Allergy face can make a person look tired.

I always count myself lucky that I don’t have any major allergies. Just latex and that’s easy to keep away from.

I do have some light seasonal allergies. They really are not too bad, but I have used Zyrtec on occasion.

During allergy season I used to get soar throat, lots of sneezing and runny nose. I always thought I had a cold but when I took cold medicine the symptoms will not go away. Then I found out that it was allergies, I did not know anything about allergies. Now when allergy season comes and start to feel all those things, I take my medication and I’m good as new.

Our allergies have been so bad this year it’s crazy. We do take Zyrtec and that helps a ton. It’s the itchy eyes that drive us crazy. I love the tip about the spoon on the eyes. Can’t wait to try that.
