Many of you know how much I love to cook and getting the kids in on that at an early age is important for me. That is why I was so thrilled when I heard about Raddish Kids, a cooking club for kids. It sounded like the perfect way to get the kids in the kitchen with me while letting them have fun.
Raddish Kids is a subscription box for your kids. Each month they will receive 3 laminated child ready recipe guides, a quality kitchen tool, a collectible colorful apron patch and 4 table talk cards. Not to mention a creative kitchen project, 3 culinary skill lessons and a complete grocery list.
The theme for this box was Hometown Diner. The card gave us all the information we would need such as the names of the recipes in the kit, games and actives, as well as the culinary skills they would learn.
On the backside of the card is the shopping list for each of the recipes.
The tool we received in our kit was a whisk. It is a regular size whisk that I thought was perfect. Many times things for children include small tools that don’t always work well. This is a whisk they will be able to use for many years to come.
The three recipes were all laminated which makes handling for the kids easier. If they spill something it will just wipe right off.
I really liked that they had picutres as well as hte words on the inside. It
You can’t have a diner without a way to give your customers their checks. I would love to say this was used only once but sadly, I had to take the last one and photocopy it. We are getting checks for every little thing we eat at every meal at the moment.
The four Table Talk cards had questions on them that the kids could discuss. It was fun and something we did while enjoying a meal. They are great conversation starters.
This bonus Milkshake Mash-Up recipe was in the kit too. It gives the kids a basic milkshake recipe and then four different variations on it by adding different items.
This badge was included as well. It is really cute and reminded me of those little badges when use to get in school I hung it on our bulletin board since I had more than one child cooking with the kit.
Finally, the restaurant lingo and chef’s challenge cards were fun for the kids. They were just a little something extra that they could learn and do.
The kids really liked Raddish Kids! It was something fun for them and I loved they were able to do things in the kitchen. This is a box that will will certainly consider getting for them as I think it will do so much good. They can learn and have fun at the same time.
