Way back 2017 in when I shared this tip I said to boil your ribs first and you will get the best ribs ever. I have since discovered an even better way to cook them. I also have learned that boiling them first is a huge no-no. It was something I didn’t know until now.
One day my uncle was trolling around YouTube and he came across some melt off the bone ribs. He made me watch the video several times and then told me we would be trying that out as soon as we can. Here is the video:
We gave these babies a try and let me tell you that will certainly fall right off the bone. You will not believe how good these are. The lemon really helps and I will tell you that I never once thought abut putting fresh lemon juice on ribs. I wonder now if it works just as well with other meats or not.
What are your favorite rubs and/or spices that you use on ribs? Let us know in the comments below.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I do this with several of the meats that I cook I also do it with potatoes. It really does cut down on cooking time for me and My toddlers can eat it better, plus I am not a fan of tough meat.

Boiling the ribs first is a good idea. My friend who is the BBQ Queen always boils hers before she puts them on the BBQ.
