I don’t use my crock-pot as often as I should. The reason being my big one broke and I only have a small sauce size one. However every once in a while I use it to make this great Pork Gravy that I use over rice or potatoes. I do this most of the time when my uncle has made rice and he thinks he is feeding twenty people so there is always left over rice.
This can cook all day on low and although I brown my pork a little before I put it into the crock-pot you don’t have to do that. This recipe uses packaged gravy but don’t hold that against me because once you lift the lid and smell that amazing dish you won’t mind. This is one of throw together meals when I just don’t know what to cook and I don’t want to spend all day over the stove. I also do this when we are having company and I need to feed a lot of people without spending a lot on food. Since you dice the meat a little can go a long way.
- 3-4 pieces of pork sirloin
- 2 packages dry chicken gravy mix
- 2 cups water (cold)
- Dice the pork sirloin into square. you can cut it pretty much how ever you want to.
- Brown the meat slightly in frying pan then transfer to crock-pot
- Empty the two packages of dry gravy mix into the frying pan and add water. stir until it thicken a bit. If you want thinner gravy you can add more water later.
- Pour gravy into crock-pot over meat.
- Cook on high for 2 hours then turn down to low to keep warm until ready to serve
- Serve over rice or potatoes

I have never made a pork sirloin in the crock-pot. Don’t ask me why, I just never thought to. I will have to try this. It’s super easy and I am all about easy meals.

I love making this on those super busy days or even on Saturdays when I don’t want to be in the kitchen forever!
