Yes another movie for kids but I will tell you the truth this is one that adults are going to love as well.

About the Movie

After their cave is destroyed, a caveman family must trek through an unfamiliar fantastical world with the help of an inventive boy.

My Thoughts

This movie made me cry and laugh! There is a wonderful scene towards the end that is so heartbreaking but then you will find yourself laughing. There are a lot of mother in-law jokes in it but they are not so bad that your children will understand them. They will find them funny and to be honest so will you. Grug tries so hard to keep his family safe and although anything new is bad he soon discovers that new can be thrilling and exciting. They learn to love one another more along the journey and to live each day to the fullest.

  6. I saw this movie while I was volunteering the other day. I didn’t catch it all (there were a lot of kiddos in the room to look after 🙂 ) but I did enjoy it a lot. It is a nice film and definitely great for kids and adults alike.

  9. That is so sweet. After reading your review and the comments of others, it seems like such a good film. At first my only thought was anything about cavemen was cute – but now I think there’s more to it.

  10. I am loving the reviews on this and another blogger encouraged me to see this. I’m another caveman lover–just naturally funny I think. Of course I’m a Flintstones fan as well, so waiting for this one.

  11. My husband took our oldest to see this and they both enjoyed it. I will probably pick it up on sale for Christmas! It’s important to have kids movies that everyone can enjoy.

  12. We saw this movie as a family and Loved it! I really enjoyed the way Grug and his daughter struggles. It was a great way to show the way a father cares.
