You may have seen those old movies where a row of women are sitting in a hair salon with strange, space helmet-like apparatus on their heads like some kind of scientific experiment, or an all female mission to Mars. Back then that was the easy way to have your hair curled automatically! Things have changed a lot since then, and getting the luscious curls you desire no longer requires you to sit reading a lady’s magazine for hours with an electronic bucket on your head!
Nowadays, nearly everything is smaller and a modern auto hair curler fits in the palm of your hand so you can create those wonderful curls all by yourself for free in the comfort of your own home, with no hair salons, lady’s magazines, and weird headgear required!
So, how does this amazing modern day technology work? The automatic curling iron is also known as a spinning curling iron, a tool that moves on its own to curl your hair for you, so you no longer have to twist the rod around yourself. The automatic curling iron looks like a traditional curling iron but with a clamp attached. The barrel begins to rotate when you click the button, automatically wrapping a strand of hair around the barrel and effortlessly heating and curling your hair. Automatic curling irons make it much simpler to make precise, uniform curls all over your head a lot faster than the old manual iron could, all while saving you the physical exertion.
Here is a breakdown of the process for you!
Prep It – Start by freeing your strands of hair of any tangles or knots, then give it a light misting of conditioner, spreading it around with a wide tooth comb. You can also apply a heat protectant if you have sensitive, fragile hair.
Section It – Part your hair down the centre of your head so you can clip half of it out of your way. Now separate the loose section into the small strands you want to do each individual curl on. Larger strands will create looser curls.
Clamp It – Clamp the ends of the first section of your hair to be curled with the auto curler.
Curl It – Do you want your curls to go toward your face or away from it? Curling away from your face is thought to be advantageous because it better accentuates your cheekbones, but it is up to your personal preference! Now, just click the button and the auto curler will begin to rotate left or right so your hair will wrap around the barrel.
Unclamp It – Let the auto curler work for a few seconds, for example, a count of 5, then unclamp your hair.
Repeat It – Now move on to the next strand and repeat the process until all of your hair strands are curled!
Seal It – Make sure your curls don’t fall flat later by setting and sealing them with hairspray.
Using an auto curler is a breeze, you can do it all by yourself without having to fly to Mars in a space helmet! Lady’s magazines are optional.
