Curriculum Created Exclusively by Homeschool Movie Club: Dolphin Tale 2!

As you all know we homeschool and since our school year is getting ready to begin I am scheduling and planning like crazy. The older kids will be back home soon from their summer vacation in Mexico and we are all excited about this new school year. This year is the first year that I am really going to work with the twins as well. I know they are not old enough yet for most things but I want to give them a head start. I am most excited this year about the newest curriculum created exclusively by Homeschool Movie Club: Dolphin Tale 2!

My homeschool group and I have already signed up for the Homeschool Day field trip to watch Dolphin Tale 2 since I am the organizer of such trips. We also got some great curriculum to use. Science is not really my strongest suit, that’s not true, it’s more like not my favorite subject to learn or teach. I have learned that anything hands on with Science really helps not only the kids learn but makes me a better teacher of the subject. The curriculum I received will help  our entire group learn more about the ocean and the creatures there.

The great thing is that there is something for most age groups involved in this curriculum and the lessons are easily taught. The big part is that you go and enjoy the day watching Dolphin Tale 2 which hits theaters September 12th! I have even planned a writing assignment for the day after movie about what they learned or liked the most about the movie. We will be working on our math a bit at the concession stand too! I am giving Victoria a certain amount of money and she cannot go over that amount when she buys so she can work a bit on addition and subtraction.

What a great idea! I love learning things by doing them. It is much easier for me to learn that way also. Plus I think this movie may have some good values. I hate the fact that they capture so many dolphins to put them in captivity for our entertainment.

This is a great idea; I would never of thought to take a field trip to the movies; great way to teach and for the children to learn
