Delirium is book six of the Reveler Series and while I haven’t read any of the other series I was very intrigued by this one. When I saw it on NetGalley I knew that I wanted to read it and was thrilled that I was given the chance.
About the Book
As the new Darkside Division head, Marshal Harlen Fawkes has a target on his back, and the Oneiros are taking their best shot. To complicate matters, a mercenary has been hired to infiltrate Maze City, jeopardizing the one safe place left in the dreamwaters. Harlen’s allies are divided while covering different fronts, but that means their collective strength is divided, too.
If I die before I wake…
Summoning her courage, Sera must face the harsh Scrape winds to add her strength to Harlen’s fight. But nothing can combat the forces rising in the deep as they finally make their move. Danger comes from all sides at once, leaving Harlen no choice but to use the woman he loves as a proxy to penetrate the Black Market. And yet doing so leaves them utterly vulnerable, adrift in the sands, as nightmares descend.
My Thoughts
Delirium continues the story of those are very determined to protect those who enter the Reve and the very horrible nightmares they are forced to fight. What that means is that there are things that have happened in previous books that pertain to this one however, I was able to understand what was going on. That is always the downside to coming into a series late in the game. For example, Harlen and Sera have reconnected but since I haven’t read the other books I don’t know a whole about their past. That being said, it is really a great book. I love the world of the Reve which is different than anything else I have read in a while. The love between Harlen and Sera is awesome! Harlen knows who he can trust and his woman has his back but then typical male that he is he is not sure he wants her near danger. Sera has other ideas though. All in all I enjoyed the book enough to put the previous ones on my to order and read list.

This does sound interesting. I am one of those readers that has to start at book one. I love books that are part of a series. You really get a feel for the characters and how they interact. Thanks for the review.

I often wonder about series books – will I like it or can you read them by themselves. This one must have been good if your ordered the whole series.
