For those you have been with me for a while you know that I don’t have a green thumb but I enjoy making my outdoor areas look beautiful. I was surfing around one day when I came across Desert Steel and was intrigued. As in I turned around and yelled for Ma to come to the computer and look. Then proceeded to tell my sister in-law to check them out. When they agreed to work with me I had a fan girl moment.
Desert Steel is a garden art and sculpture company who make some of the most beautiful items I have ever seen. I know that can be said about a lot of different items but these are different. They have tiki torches and bird feeders that would certainly be conversation starters. The cactus are so beautiful even I work have them in my yard and you all know my feelings on cactus (there was an incident once that lets just say involved a cute guy, cactus needles, and my bum.)
I received an Orange Daisy Tiki Torch and as you can see from the picture at the very top it does come with a pole/stake that you attach. I took the above picture and the next couple so you could really see it up close. It uses citronella torch fuel or lamp oil that goes into the refillable torch canister. In the above picture the daisy is open and ready to light.
However when not in use you can close it with the included snuffer/lid which also stores underneath when you are using the torch. As you can see the color is so vibrant. The torch itself is not heavy which I had expected since it is made of metal. I could easily put it together, pick it up, and move it.
Again the colors just take your breath away. I could see a whole walkway of these torches (hint…hint..for anyone who wants to buy me a gift.) As I said this went together easily and I have in out in the yard. I’m planning on doing something more back there when the weather holds long enough.

I love the coneflower bird feeders in the pink & blueberry pie colors. And the crabapple bird feeder is lovely too! I also love the daisy solar garden lights altho they are a bit bland. I suppose you could get out the rustoleum in bright colors & make them pop more. Since plants don’t particularly love me, these would definitely make a lovely substitute!
