One thing that I hate to do during the summer is cook. I never know what to make and I would rather be out doing other things. Not to mention we go on vacation for a month at a time. After lots of thinking I realized that a food subscription box was the way to go. Thankfully the wonderful folks over at DINNERLY were kind enough to send me a box to review.
Now if you follow me on Instagram you may have already seen the unboxing I did in my IGTV. If you haven’t seen that yet you can check it out here (just click IGTV.)
DINNERLY is an affordable meal kit subscription service that has been designed with quick weeknight cooking in mind. That means it is the perfect subscription box for summer cooking. It is only $5 and you receive pre-portioned ingredients with digital recipe cards to make three meals.
When you receive your box there is a handy checklist on it like you see above. I loved that! It reminds you of everything that you need to do.
You get to choose your box from a menu of 6 weekly recipes, with ingredients changing seasonally and you can skip a box anytime. Again making it great for the summer. Especialy with school getting ready to start back.
We selected our three meals and our box came in. The meals we wanted were:
- Goat Cheese Panini
- Creamy Tomato Pasta
- Pork Shumai Meatballs
As you can see with the dry ingredients everything is portion perfectly. There aren’t any leftovers which is wonderful. I hate throwing food away because no one ate the leftovers.
The cold stuff is on the bottom of the box with ice packs around it. As you can see the pork was a good size.
The produce was fresh and looked so good. Although my poor nephew had never seen an onion before. He didn’t know what it was or maybe he is use to seeing them after they have been chopped.
However, he wanted y’all to know that he gave this box his approval.
With DINNERLY you can choose from the following plans: A couple box containing 3 meals that will feed two adults for $30.00, plus $8.99 shipping. A family box containing 3 meals that will feed four adults for $60.00, plus $8.99 shipping.
For your recipe card you will get a link via email that will direct you to the recipe or you can view it from your account area. Digital recipe cards can be downloaded and printed, or viewed on the relevant device.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
