I recently was asked to check out FutureFood2050 and I must tell you all that I really like some of the articles over there. FutureFood2050 is multi-year program that highlights the people and stories leading the efforts for a healthier, safer and better nourished planet that’s needed to feed 9 billion+ people by 2050. They have interviews with leaders in food and science and next year they are coming out with a documentary film.
There were several articles that really caught my eye such as one about Biological Barcoding. Scientist actually use barcodes to analyze the organisms found on foods. To me this sounds great because it may make it easier to catch bacteria and harmful germs before the food hits the shelves in stores. That would make buying produce a much more pleasant experience and not having to worry as much. I bet there would be fewer produce recalls and notices as well.
Another article that I enjoyed was about how fiber makes us feel full and tell our brains that we are full. When I thought about it whenever I eat more fiber I don’t each as much during the day and end up losing weight. So I really need to revamp how I eat and be sure I add in more fiber. My stomach tends to be happier when I eat more fiber as well.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

This sounds like a very interesting site. We have been working on trying to eat healthier and also know what is in our food. Plus another key part is where your food is coming from. I will have to check out this site. I think kit’s great that you are going to continue to share info from them to us.
