Eight O’Clock Coffee Brings Back Memories

Sep 27, 2012 | Rita

Eight O'Clock Coffee Original and Columbian

When I was a teen I got a job at our local A&P as a cashier. I would spend the next twelve years working my way and when our division closed I worked in the Human Resources Department. The one thing I use to love about working at A&P was the Eight O’Clock Coffee. I was never a really big coffee drinker but right outside my office was the table where we gave away samples during the winter and the smell was always so wonderful. I loved walking down the coffee aisle and smelling the fresh ground coffee. It was simply heavenly.

I was recently sent some Eight O’Clock to sample and it was like being back in that tiny office all over again. If you have never tried Eight O’Clock coffee I would highly suggest you try it. It is very smooth and not too strong but not too weak either. On a cold morning (or when I need to find a little of me) it is the best remedy. I love the smell of it brewing in the coffee pot first thing in the morning.

I remember when I was a child growing up in PA, my mom used to send me in A&P to grab a few things and one was Eight O’Clock coffee. That is the only coffee all my relatives drank 🙂

We love Eight O’Clock. My old school Louisiana grandmother taught me to drink coffee when I was a kid, and Eight O’Clock was one of her favorites. So now it’s one of mine 🙂

I never used to drink coffee until recently and now I’m totally addicted. I’ll have to make sure to try a bag of Eight O’Clock.

I can remember going with my Mom to A&P where she purchased Eight O’Clock Coffee after putting it through the grinder.
