Embracing Latin Music {#enriquejlotour}

I will be the first one to admit that until I met my husband my Latin music knowledge didn’t extend beyond Jennifer Lopez and Enrique Iglesias, sad but true. Now my life is filled with all the wonderful sounds of Latin music and I have come to embrace it fully.  There is such a feel to Latin music that you don’t get with other kinds and it makes me feel energized somehow (if that is possible.) I love to put it on while I am doing my housework because I just seem to get it all done quicker and of course hubby and I enjoy dancing to it every chance we get.

My knowledge is now beyond Jennifer Lopez and Enrique Iglesias but they play no smaller a part in my music collection. In fact my husband is a bit jealous of Enrique Iglesias because I think he is so hot! If I put him on to listen to him when hubby is home I usually get the “I’ll leave you alone with your boyfriend” speech. If not that then I get the “You know he’s not Mexican and I thought you only liked Mexicans” speech. It is of course all in good fun because I know that there is secretly several Enrique Iglesias songs on hubby’s iPod. He doesn’t know I know it but they are there.

It is not uncommon to pull up to our home on any given day and hear Latin music playing with us dancing and signing along with it. Latin music, like my Latin hubby, has taught to be free and open, to love myself just the way I am and that I am just as beautiful as the next woman. Mozart never made me feel that way!
