I don’t if it is the same in your neck of the woods but in mine the kids are out for Spring Break. Now since we homeschool we could technically do this anytime but I always try to stick with the same school calendar as the local public school. It just makes things easier but now I am stuck with trying to figure out how to keep the kids entertained.
Have a Plan of Action
This is super important! You really need to know ahead of time what all you will be doing whether it is going to zoo or simply having a play date with friends. It helps to have a schedule with everything that you will be doing. Our schedule is loose because things change day to day and because I truly don’t know how I will feel from one day to the next or what I will physically be able to accomplish each day right now. This plan of action also includes having input from the kids. The older ones know what they may want to do versus what we will do.
Trips to the Zoo and Museum
Don’t discount these old standards even if your children have been dozens of time. They will most likely love going again and to be honest if you are spending time with your children there is much they won’t like doing. Both of these venues do hold the potential to be both fun and educational, however I advise being a little sneaky about the educational stuff. After all kids really just want to go for the fun of it.
Have Plenty of Toys
The younger kids are easily entertained through toys. Which really helps me because Pley will provide me all of the toys I need to keep them going. If you haven’t heard of Pley, it is a super interesting way for your children to experience toys without you having to worry about which ones to get. They even offer a large selection of yous which include doll clothes, electronics, and preschool toys. The best part is Pley delivers these toys to your door and then when your children are finished playing with them you return it for a new one.

Just Have Fun
The most important thing that you can do is just have fun with your children. If they are young they will see everything as an adventure. If they are older chances they are going to complain at least once but such is life. Find something they want to do and everything will be just fine. 🙂

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I will be having all 4 of my grandchildren over spring break and we will be at a motel, so trying to think of things to do. It is a good thing that there is an indoor swimming pool to keep the kids busy for awhile. I also reserved a room on the river so to enjoy some of the activities outside.

Interesting how my comment above indicates that the video does not exist as I did nothing but comment.
