Evolution of the Chair

Aug 26, 2013 | Rita

I spend a lot of time sitting on a chair that honestly is killing my back! I never really thought about who develop the chair or where it came from at all. I figured that cavemen decided they needed to be a bit more refined and have something to sit on more than rocks. The evolution of the chair really wasn’t something I knew anything about.

However thanks to this wonderful Infographic I now know more about the chair. Honestly when you have children questions like this come up from time to time and you better know the answer. I found it very interesting about Darwin and the office chair. Then again though I really shouldn’t be surprised as he was a forward thinking person.

Now if someone would invent a chair that will take me to the bathroom when I need to go I will be a happy person, or better yet maybe one that will change the kids, cook dinner, and handle those tasks that I would rather not do.

This is very interesting, the Evolution of the Chair! I did not know that Charles Darwin put wheels on his chair so he could move around more quickly! Interesting! I sit in chairs to much, but I do get out and walk to stretch my back!

I really enjoy infographics! They offer so much info that I can gather in such an easy way and in short time. My office chair, if you can call it that, makes my back AND my butt hurt terribly! One of these days I want to get a new one. But sadly I haven’t figured out how to give up food yet so I can afford one.

I’m wiht Robin on this one…gets both the back and butt. Even thought about getting a swim ring for mine since it hurts to set. Or maybe get off the computer….oh no…can’t do that.

I want a chair that will clean the bathrooms, especially the toilet! I love these inforgraphs also. I love knowing all these quirky facts. I figure someday they will come in handy.
