When I received my chair I had to inflate it. It is recommended that you do this with an air compressor at first but I did (or I should say my hubby did) with the pump that came with my kit. Once the ball is inflated you need to wait 24 hours to allow time for it stretch and then you let air out to adjust the firmness for you. You begin sitting on your chair for the first time you do it for a few mintues and then build yourself up each day. The reason is that you are now using muscles that you may not have been using in a while. The first week my tail bone hurt when I got up every time but now it doesn’t. I let a little air out and got it adjusted just the way I like.
I received a Deep Plum Cozy to go over my chair which makes it look great in the living room which is where my office is. The other thing I really love is that it slides under my desk perfectly. This is an interesting idea. I used to have one of those ergonomic chairs where you were sort of kneeling, and it was good for my back, but it turned out to be really bad for my knees. This one looks like it doesn’t put too much stress on any one part of the body.
It doesn’t and I have a friend who actually used one while in labor. She said it really helped her before she got into the water for the birth. I can just see me know going to the hospital, in labor, bag in one hand and my chair in the other!

I have seen these with the backs on them and was wondering how it is without the back? I have one of these balls and love to use it!
I haven’t seen any with the back on them. This one is great because without the back I am forced to sit up straight.
