It’s Friday again and that means I am bringing you an update on the family. We will be checking in with the senior citizens in the house as well as the kiddos and all of the other craziness that I call my daily life. I wouldn’t change a single moment of it even if there may have been moments when I wanted to pull my hair out.
Life at Shady Pines
If you are new to the blog Shady Pines is what I call my house because of the senior citizens that live with me. It is my nod to The Golden Girls. This week has been a bit up and down for the senior citizens. They have been a bit snippy with one another which happens but there are days when they are like two-year olds. We did have a sad moment last Saturday when my great-uncle passed away. He was in a nursing home and was almost 90. Of course they called us on Friday saying he wasn’t doing well and then Saturday he had passed. So we are dealing with all of that this week.
The Kiddos
Having four kids around the house can be trying at times. That doesn’t mean I don’t love them to death. With the younger kid they picked up on the tension from the seniors which means they have been snippy all week as well. The older kids though were awesome. They got the younger dressed and ready so I could deal with the funeral arrangements. They even sat with the twins at the funeral home reading to them so I could handle paperwork. I know I could have left them all with Ma but she was just off this week so I thought it was best take them with me.
Goings on with Me
As for me I have been with just everything. The break I took for Easter was awesome and I can tell you it was one that I needed. I have been working on a couple of big things for May along with some things with Lenore which I will share with you all soon.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
