It’s Friday again and that means I am bringing you an update on the family. We will be checking in with the senior citizens in the house as well as the kiddos and all of the other craziness that I call my daily life. I wouldn’t change a single moment of it even if there may have been moments when I wanted to pull my hair out. This is the one post that I never schedule ahead of time because I never know what is going to happen.
Life at Shady Pines
If you are new to the blog Shady Pines is what I call my house because of the senior citizens that live with me. It is my nod to The Golden Girls. This week has been bit busy for the senior citizens. They decided that their rooms needed to be redone which meant I spent several days doing that for them. It was fine because honestly it was past time but I swear Ma can tell you to move something a million times only to have you put it right back. She is pretty happy with the way things are now but a little upset with me because I won’t allow her to buy more furniture without getting rid of something else. There just ins’t any room.
The Kiddos
Having four kids around the house can be trying at times. That doesn’t mean I don’t love them to death. This week they have been pretty great! The older kids have been learning more about money management and trying to save for a new game system they want. I refuse to buy it because the old system is only a year old. I am not buying a new one every time a new system comes out. The younger kids want bicycles for the summer and for me to teach them how to ride. I think this will something that my brother teaches them because I am dangerous on a bicycle.
Goings on with Me
I spent the entire day yesterday at the hospital for the most embarrassing thing in the world. While I won’t say what it was I will say that once you have had to lay on a hospital bed with it all hanging out there really isn’t much shame left. The problem was taking care of and now other than some pain from the incisions they had to made I just need some antibiotics for a few days.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

Ouch. Wishing you a quick recovery, both from your mystery procedure and from the embarrassment it caused you. 🙂

Thank you! There are some things that no matter how much I want to blog, cross a line into just way too much information.

I was just at the doctor’s office and I know what you mean about feeling vulnerable! I get embarrassed telling my doctor some things….

There are just things that you shouldn’t have to say out loud. Not to mention having everything God gave hanging out all over the place. It’s enough to make a girl want to hide away.
