It’s Friday again and that means I am bringing you an update on the family. We will be checking in with the senior citizens in the house. Not to mention with the kiddos and all the other craziness that I call my daily life. I wouldn’t change a single moment of it even if there may have been moments when I wanted to pull my hair out.
Life at Shady Pines
If you are new to the blog Shady Pines is what I call my house because of the senior citizens that live with me. It is my nod to The Golden Girls. This week the senior citizens have been busy. I spent two days attempting to convince Ma that she in fact did not have meningitis. She found her symptoms on the internet and well it went down hill from there. I spent the rest of the week convincing my uncle that after nine heart attacks he can’t do everything the same.
The Kiddos
Having four kids around the house can be trying at times. That doesn’t mean I don’t love them to death. This week has been pretty good. We have been getting ready for Easter next month as well as Spring Break. This is busy time of year for us as we practice Lent and immerse ourselves in our faith. I will attempt to do a post on Lent for you all in the next week or so. That way those who don’t understand it will have a better grasp of it.
Goings on with Me
I am finally, I hope, on the back side of my infection. It will be good to be off the meds now. I also started watching a new show. Well an old-new show. It’s called Agatha Raisin and is on Acorn TV through Amazon. I’m sure it’s on the BBC or something as well. I was channel surfing over the last weekend and stumbled across it. I have been enjoying it. Anytime I get to relax is a good time for me!
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

Glad to hear you’re feeling better! It’s been a long road! Your home sounds so exciting with the seniors and the kiddos! Although it must be crazy busy, I know everyone will benefit from the multi-genderqtionql living!
