It’s Friday again and that means I am bringing you an update on the family. We will be checking in with the senior citizens in the house as well as the kiddos and all of the other craziness that I call my daily life. I wouldn’t change a single moment of it even if there may have been moments when I wanted to pull my hair out.
Life at Shady Pines
If you are new to the blog Shady Pines is what I call my house because of the senior citizens that live with me. It is my nod to The Golden Girls. The senior citizens have spent the week still being angry at one another. I swear it is so funny. They have gone like two weeks not speaking because one of them said something the other didn’t like. I used to make them be nice and speak to one another. Now though i don’t bother, they are adults and if they need to like they are two so be it.
The Kiddos
Having four kids around the house can be trying at times. That doesn’t mean I don’t love them to death. This week we have been super busy with homeschool. We only have this month left then it is time for the summer break and vacation. We have been getting reading for the year-end testing and other things. The twins are actually already on summer break but since they are only three that’s alright. They both have been doing well learning their number and letters. They can actually recognized them and read a little so I think things have been going well. Next year is pre-school and they are excited while I’m a nervous wreck.
Goings on with Me
With me I have been busy planning our vacation as well as getting the blog ready. I have almost finished a full month of articles with a good stockpile of others to have ready for if I need them. It always helps when I know I will be busy doing vacation things to have everything lined up. Also I need to give a big birthday shout to my older brother. He will be 45 tomorrow!!
