This week has been a rough one for us. Sam got hurt last week and has really milked it for all it’s worth. I’m kidding I know how much a broken bone hurts and to be only three means it hurts even worse. On top of that I have had a super busy week with work. Trying to catch things up and still feel sane at the end of the day.
None of the kids have cooperated this week. Maggie cries and gets upset every time Sam crawls into my lap. I think she is going through a little bit of jealous phase and with him getting more attention at the moment she is not a happy little girl. Which means I have both of them with in the bed at night fighting for who can crawl up my booty more.
Sam hasn’t been sleeping well which means I haven’t been sleeping well either. On top of not getting into the bed before one am. It has just been a week. The older kids haven’t been much better. they have spent the whole week fighting and yelling. They broke some dishes on Wednesday which means no camping trip this weekend for them. Now they are mad at me and I am the worst mother in the world. Oh and Victoria is never speaking to me again.
Ma thinks I am being too harsh as does my uncle. Can you believe that? I’m being too harsh! Says the woman who would spanked one of us for breaking a dish. I don’t think I’m being harsh. I think I am being fair in that they are only missing out this weekend and not longer for all of their fighting and bickering this week. Is it Monday yet?

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

Sometimes when Friday finally gets here, it’s good to just put the week behind ourselves and get a fresh start with the weekend. I hope that works for you this week (although with no camping trip, your weekend might have its own tensions). Poor little Sam–it’s good that he’s finding comfort from you, even if it’s taking its toll on you. Good luck. And don’t forget to do something nice for yourself, too.

I won’t forget to do something nice for myself. We have storms and tornado watches/warnings so no camping trip now is probably a good thing. It will be good to start fresh on Monday.

If your kids think you are the worst parent , that just means your doing it right. I have 4 girls and they are always fighting and argueing over everything, drama drama drama, My new year has been pretty bad , Here’s hoping mine and yours gets better.

Yep! That’s a crummy week! I can’t fathom what my life would be like if one of mine broke a bone.
