This week I thought long and hard about where I would want to go. Most of the time I pull out the map and then close my eyes and point to a place. Sometimes I ask family members because there are so many places that I have not been but so many that I have. This week though we are heading to Wales.
Wales is an island that is bordered by England to its east, the Irish Sea to the north and west, and the Bristol Channel to its south. It is officially part of the Unites Kingdom and I am sure you have all heard of the Prince of Wales, Prince Charles. That is the title which is given to the heir apparent. The majority of the country speaks English although it is officially a bilingual country with more than 560,000 Welsh language speakers living there. It has brought us plenty of great entertainers as well including, Sir Tom Jones, Bonnie Tyler, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Michael Sheen, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Richard Burton.
Okay enough with the history lesson! Now what to do in Wales! There is actually a lot of places to visit such as visiting one of their national parks. Snowdonia National Park is a 823 square mile region in the north of Wales. I would love to visit here because the scenery is suppose to be beautiful and I honestly just love the name of the place.
Conway Castle is also another great place on the north coast of Wales. It is a medieval fortification and truly beautiful if you ask me. Let’s face it who wouldn’t want to go check out a real life castle!
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

Welsh is the hardest language for me to understand. I thought it was Scottish…and then I went to Wales. Have so much fun!

What beautiful pictures! I would love explore that castle. Actually, my husband would like to visit England and Wales. He served in Europe back in the 80s but didn’t get to those. Now he wants to take me!
