Okay I have been dieting with Lenore, my author friend/boss, and I will tell you that she is ruthless! Every single time we got out to lunch she is checking for the calories. I bet she has the menus memorized and already has planned out what she is eating ahead of time. Fast food comparison is an art form that girl excels at. Bless her little freaky heart! Actually I envy her because I have such a heart time.
One of the things I always pay attention to is the calories in salads. I love having a salad when I am out but sometimes they are worst than the regular meal. I don’t eat at fast food places very often but I do love a couple of those listed above. Of course my favorite would have more than 400 calories but since I only it once or twice a year then that is okay.
Fries are my other favorite fast food. There is just something about a box of hot fries that makes me smile. I guess it is something from my childhood. I don’t know but I do know that I almost always get some fries even if they are a child’s size one. Although I will admit that some of the places listed above has changed their fries more than once. They no longer taste as good as they did when I was a child. Maybe because they took out most of the bad stuff.
There is always the choice of something else and I admit that I do look at the other sides. Especially for the kids. That’s right, I’m a do as I say not as I do mother. I want them to eat well and I know that I should as well but…. well there it is. The twins usually get fruit while Ma always gets onions rings if they are available. She loves that and it looks like those are a good alternative.

this is great info. I like knowing the calorie count of different places so I can make informed decisions.

I didn’t realize how many calories fries have. I am also shocked that mozzarella sticks have less calories! I would’ve thought it would be the opposite.
