Felt Like A Clogged Drain #SUDAFEDREPLAY

Mar 26, 2014 | Rita

Have you ever had sinus pain and congestion so bad that it honestly felt like a clogged drain? If you have then you know what I mean and it can stop you in your tracks. I know that it did me on the one day that I really needed to be at my best……. the day the twins came home from the hospital. As you all know my twins are not my biological children and on the day they came home from the hospital I was so excited. I had everything ready and got up early so we could make the two hour drive to the hospital to pick them up. I knew that things were off when I got up. My sinuses were bothering me but I felt it was something I could live with. However by the time we got ready to leave the pain was so bad I thought my head was going to explode. All I kept thinking was I cannot believe this! I need to feel good so that I could bring my beautiful babies home! I was nervous about if I should even attempt to go. The hospital might not let them come home with me if I was sick, even if it was just sinuses.

I went into Ma’s room and laid on the bed and actually cried like a child. I remember saying to her “What am I going to do?” Her response was to deal with it. There was no way I was going to be able to go to the hospital. I felt so miserable and we didn’t have a single SUDAFED® in the house. The one time I needed them more than anything we didn’t have any and since we live in a small town it was too early for the stores to be open. So I did what my mother told me and dealt with it. I didn’t get to go to the hospital to bring my beautiful babies home.

Instead I stayed home and waited for hubby and Ma to bring them, not to mention for the store to open so I could feel better when they finally got here. Sinus pain and congestion can knock you off your feet and it occurs in those moments when you least expect it. I keep SUDAFED® in the house now at all times just for that reason! It was a lesson learned and a very important event that I didn’t get to participate in and will never have the chance again. SudafedReplayLogoHighRes-1.29.14 SUDAFED® has this awesome video and contest for you all to enter!

I am so sorry you didn’t get to go to the hospital to pick up the twins. I do know what you are talking about as far as the sinus pain. It is unreal how fast and how bad it can come on. Both my son and I get sinus infections fairly often. We always have Sudafed in the house. It helps a ton.

It does help and I learned to never be without it.

What a sad day, sinus issues suck the life out of you, should have been a joyous day and what you remember of it is how sick you were.

It was and while things were awful I can almost look back and laugh now. One of those “if something bad can happen it will” moments.
