That’s right boys and girls it is time for the Festival People en Español 2013! It will be August 31- September 1st in San Antonio Texas and I really wish I lived closer so I could go! It will be two fun filled days that I encourage everyone who lives near or within driving distance to head out and take the family. Even those readers who are not Latino, head out there and enjoy a little Latin culture.
Festival People en Español 2013 is a nationwide celebration of culture, entertainment and the Hispanic community. There will children’s areas available so I promise there will be something for everyone! On Saturday, August 31st at 2 pm (CST) at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center there is an event that you may enjoy! It is a Latinos in Higher Education: Staying in School and Achieving Success panel that is being hosted by Soledad O’Brien.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I have read about this event. It sounds like it is going to be huge. I think it’s great that they are hosting a big family friendly event that celebrates the culture of Latinos. I know from my own father that family a very important part of the culture. I think it would be amazing to attend.
