I have been talking about it for weeks…the big family holiday dinner. It is happening next week and I am in the process of getting my home ready. That includes changing my air filter (a couple of weeks ago) and then I will change it again the morning of the 12th. The reason is that with so many people coming in and out of the house we need to do everything we can to improve air quality and more. That is one of the reasons I am so impressed with the Filtrete Healthy Living Ultimate Allergen Reduction Filter (MPR 1900) which can help me create a healthier home because it attracts and captures airborne microscopic particles that can carry bacteria and viruses.
I mean lets face with people coming in from all over the place allergens are going to be running amok at our home. With the Filtrete Healthy Living Ultimate Allergen Reduction Filter (MPR 1900) 93% of large airborne particles are captured as the air passes through the filter. That means we aren’t breathing them in which makes me a happy camper or should I say a happy holiday-er? Either way I am doing what I can to make our home a little healthier and of course a little goes a long way.
I’m not just talking about for the holidays either, winter is heading this way too next month and I am making sure that my filter is changed monthly, not to mention putting up the plastic on the windows outside and all the other things that I do every year to winterize the house. Remembering to change the filter it something I struggle with until this time of the year normally. After all that picture above is what the one I just replaced looked like. That is GROSS!

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

Sounds like a great product, with 2 dogs and some days there’s up to 5 dogs and 10+ people this would be beneficial in our house

Don’t think my comment went through so I’ll try this again. Thank you for the reminder. It’s one of those things I never remember to do. I’m very impressed by the specs for the Filtrete Healthy Living Ultimate Allergen Reduction Filter. I’m going to see if mine will take the same ones.

I seriously need to look into these air filters. My two daughters and I have just been miserable with allergies and sinus problems this winter and I never even thought about using air filters to help the situation. If it helps even a little bit, I’ll be delighted.

I wish everyone knew how important this is and what a difference it makes! When we moved into our place, the people had a new furnace, BUT NO FILTER on it at all. Gross. We had the ducts cleaned and they took 17 pounds of dust out of our place. We change the filter every month, I don’t know what we use, but it is a 3M one and it works great. It might be this one because we get one that is for allergies.
We also change it in my Grandparents house. They feel these things are a ‘waste’ but they are old with health issues. So we just do it for them.

I know we use Filtrete filters. I just don’t know if it’s the Filtrete Healthy Living Ultimate Allergen Reduction Filter (MPR 1900). I know with my sons allergies and my mom’s asthma we try to make sure we keep our filters clean. I will have to check and see which one it is. I really like the sounds of this style. Thanks!

This would be perfect for us. We’re finished renovations in our apartment, but my husband is still working on the downstairs unit (and we have 2 dogs) so we’re constantly battling dust and pet hair. This looks really great and worth the extra money.

I need this. I have “seasonal allergies” (that last most of the year!)

I have a hard time remembering to change the filter. Now that we have moved, it is especially important that we do that. We just bought our first home. 🙂
