I have spent the last few years updating the house bit by bit. Most all of the rooms are done and I am almost finished with the living room and dining room. I just need the rest of the chairs for the dining room table and it will be complete. The biggest part of the living room is new furniture and I have that on order. Once it is in place that room will be complete. Although I may need a new tv stand when we get the new one because the size may be too small. We are upgrading the television since lighting hit it. Now it is finally time for my room. It will be a room that I will share with y’all once I get it completed. There is so much to change and I have so many plans.
First thing is I need a new dresser. Actually I want to buy a media dresser so that I can put my television on the top of it. Since I use my Roku in there I thought I would put my cell phone and tablet chargers through the slot where the cable box or dvd player would go. That will keep the cords organized and give me a nice place to charge things without hem beginning on over the top of the dresser. The problem with the dresser I want is that there are only three drawers. After some figuring I think I am going to get a lingerie dresser as well. It is tall and thin but will hold everything I need it to hold. That will leave the larger dresser to hold bulking items like jeans.
I also need a new bed which is something I am getting for Christmas. I have been looking at beds at http://sunpan.com and know that I want a fabric one. Right now I have one of those old brass beds and it is time for an upgrade! I am wanting to get one gray in color so that it will go nicely with my new curtains and comforter but will settle on a different color if I have to.
I also want to get a new vanity but am considering just redoing the desk in my room now and making it into a vanity. I haven’t decided yet if it is even something I can do. The treadmill will stay of course as will one cabinet. Although I may end up painting the cabinet. It is one that I use to put all of my bathroom supplies into. It needs to be organized like you wouldn’t believe right now.
I will be changing the nightstand but I have a small bookshelf on the other side of the bed that I may leave. Again just repainting it or something. Finally I need some sort of storage seating because I have some blankets that need to be sorted away but I like having a place to sit and put my shoes on.
There are so many things needed for redecorating the bedroom!

I spent the whole weekend going over so many different sites searching for the perfect look that I wanted. Then my crazy brother sent me a picture of the barbecue that he was off somewhere eating while they were riding and I got hungry. The next thing I know I’ve switched searches and ended up finding something on the Dickey barbecue pit wiki before I caught myself. He does that to me all the time! Yesterday, it was a picture of pecan pie because they were at one of their Thanksgiving dinners they go to. An hour later after searching recipes I finally got back to what I was doing to begin with.

I know how you feel! I’m also a single mother of three and I too have to fix or update one thing at a time!
Wow, you have been doing a lot of decorating, and the bedroom sounds very nice. I’ve been chipping away at my bedroom, too, but no furniture, just some decor items. I made a duvet that is silk on the backing, and pieced silk top. It is very heavy, esp with the insert. I just got a drill today, as I need to put up the hardware for the drapes, they’ve been down since painting. One thing I’ve been totally stuck on is a lamp. I had knocked over my lamp and it broke, and I didn’t think it would be that hard to find one I wanted, but if I like it, it is too big, or too low wattage, or not the right color for the decor, I have been scouring the internet. Much more to do, I’ve been selling, donating, thrifting clothing to free up closet space. I’d love to get furniture, but not in the budget. If I can, I want a rocking chair, big enough to get comfy with pillows.
