Finding a Daily Beauty Routine

Mar 04, 2020 | Rita

I have a confession to make. I am one of those women who really don’t do much in the daily beauty department. I rarely (if ever) put on makeup anymore and only clean my face like once a day. I know! I know! I really need to up my game but I hate going through all of that. I must have done something right though because I don’t look my age. I look much younger thank goodness. Of course that is most likely just good genes. I recently came across an article from L’Oreal Paris and realized that I need to up my game in ways you can’t even imagine. I know that I don’t drink enough water at all.

As I said I know I need to drink more water and that it is good for my face. I drink a full glass after I work out but I want to try to drink a full glass when I wake up first thing in the morning. I have heard some other bloggers talking about doing that as a way to start the day off right. That could be something I need. No matter what I try I know I need to add more water into my daily routine.

Clean Face-Twice A Day

Like I said this only happens once a day when I take a shower. I know I need to do it when I wake up and before I go to bed. It is something that I am working on. It is said that it only take 21 days to make something a habit. I will let you know! Another thing I don’t use is a toner. The reason for that is I have rosacea and a toner burns when I put them on.

I do use a moisturizer several times a day. Especially when I have a flare up and it is a prescription one. I also use a screen screen on my face every single time I go outside at all. I mean even to get the mail I put it on. I always have done that.

I put it on under my makeup as well. I don’t use face peels because of the rosacea either. I tried that one and it sent me straight to the doctor. I do occasionally use a scrub that my doctor approved of. When things get really bad the doctor will prescribe a liquid that has antibiotics and other things that I dab on my face. It clears things up quickly, but is a little expensive.

Cosmetics

Way back when (because it seems like forever ago) I worked out in the public and would get up, put on my makeup and be ready to go to work. Now, I work at home and never really wear anything. In the summer I sweat like you wouldn’t believe which means the makeup seems to melt off. I honestly think it is something I am just not good at. I also think that by not wearing it as much as I used to I have save my face some damage. However, with the rosaeca my face flakes and the foundation cakes up. I recently saw some on Etsy that is made for someone with my skin problems. I am planning on giving it a try and seeing how it works. I will certainly review the products once I purchase them. I am thinking about getting up and putting a little on each day and see if that helps me a bit with how I’ve been feeling lately.
