No matter how long you’ve been planning your wedding ceremony for, you’ll always have an ideal site or venue in mind. The venue or site will be central to everything, and it will be where you say those all-important vows or words of commitment to your partner. Finding your dream wedding ceremony site can take time, and it can take persistence. Therefore, it’s important that you focus on this part of your wedding planning before looking at anything else.
Think About What You Want
What exactly do you want from your dream wedding ceremony site? Are you looking at somewhere that’s located near a beach? Or are you looking for something that sits in its own extensive grounds? How do you envisage yourself and your partner on your big day, and what do you see around you? When you dig deep and think about what you want, you may find that your needs and requirements are more specific than you originally anticipated. This is especially true if you’re planning a wedding that centers around a theme or idea.
Indoor or Outdoor Sites
Are you going to base your search on indoor or outdoor wedding ceremony sites? What are you looking for, and what will fit in with your theme, wedding ideas, and plans? Indoor ceremony sites can be good for winter weddings, but they can be a little restrictive at times. Outdoor sites can be magical, and they can allow guests to connect with nature, and immerse themselves in the whole celebration.
Choose the Right Location
The location of a site or venue is more important than you initially realize. It can set the tone for the whole day, and it can have an impact on how your day flows and feels. Therefore, you must think about what the right location looks like to you and your partner. Will the right location be one that’s local to you, or is it going to be easily accessible to those who are traveling from out of state?
Setting a Budget
How much have you set aside for the ceremony site, and how much should you realistically be budgeting? It’s all too easy to underestimate how much ceremonies cost, and when this happens, you’ll find that you have to make sacrifices or compromises. When you’re setting a budget, start contacting venues and sites that you like the look of. Establish what their rates are and see what’s included in these prices or costings. When you do this, you can then start to establish what kind of budget you’ll be looking at.
Looking at Guest Numbers
How big is the guest list that you’re putting together? Are you looking at having under a hundred guests, or perhaps you’re looking at a larger ceremony, with over two hundred in attendance. The size of your ceremony will influence the site you use, so start getting to grips with guest numbers. Try and secure guest numbers early on. Send out invites or save the date cards to gauge numbers.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
