On day 20 of the 25 Days of Me I wanted to say, if you didn’t already know, that I love food. I’m talking food is one of the things I will straight up attend a gathering for and I hate going to those. It is also one of hte things I love about the holidays the most. There is just so much food to be eaten.
Right about now you are thinking no wonder I’m overweight. Yes, that did and still does contribute to it but there are plenty of other factors as well. Don’t worry I haven’t thrown off my diet for food altogether. I am still eating just healthier and making better choices these days.
My love of food is why you have been seeing so many different recipes appearing in the last couple of weeks. I am always trying out new recipes or changing things up and creating my own. I ca say, thankfully that only a handful have come out horribly.
I don’t just cook either, I bake a variety of items including bread (although I still struggle with it a bit) and cakes. I love making cakes and cookies. I am also the person most likely to give food as holiday gifts and am usually the mother that brings the snacks to school functions. I do try to ensure that accommodate everyone’s allergies and beliefs as I know they can be different.
I will try most foods at least three times since it a rule we have in our house. If after three times I don’t like then it may never be back in the house. Just kidding. I make collard greens for the seniors all the time and I can’t stand them.
