As a blogger I have to edit a ton of photos. I do that with the work I do with Lenore as well. It helps to have a program that can handle all of that easily. That is why I am thrilled to share with you Fotor Pro.
Fotor has plenty of free functions such as Basic HDR which for those who aren’t up on the lingo is pretty much the lightest of the light and darkest of the dark that you could possibly capture in a photo. I learned that in one of photography classes! There is even portrait retouch which I can tell you I have used to touch up my rosacea in pictures before. A few of the features of Fotor Pro are:
- Save your work in the cloud
- Easy access your design anywhere
- Support HD PDF files for printing and sharing
- Advanced HTML5 technology for faster speed
- More editing flexibility and capabilities in ‘Design and Collage
- More beautiful fonts, stickers, and templates
Being able to save my work in the cloud is important because sometimes I work from a different computer. I love being to work on any computer I need to without having to carry all of work around with me. I can easily login and find what I am working on. While I don’t use a lot of fonts in my blog images and designs I do use them often for Lenore’s work and on my personal stuff. That personal stuff is one of the biggest reasons I love Fotor at all. Everyone is always asking me to make them a shirt or a calendar or something and I need to have dependable software to edit the images and designs with.
Another great thing about Fotor Pro is the Fotor for Desktop which is the premium offline editor. I can’t tell you how awesome this is. I have been working on batching which is where you do certain tasks in groups and it helps not to have to go online when I am doing the photos. This lets you edit camera raw images which is something I have been learning. I can really do the edits I want using this feature.
As you can see this is an image I have been working on for Lenore and I was able to do quite a bit. The image started out pretty simple. I was able to change the sky as well as add in the writing and the book cover. It is fairly simple but more than effective. She is using this in her calendar along with eleven other images that I created using Fotor. When the samples come in I will make sure to post a video of them so you can see each image. It turned out really well if I do say so myself. Without Fotor I wouldn’t have been able to do half of what I did.
To show you more of what I have been able to do with Fotor I thought I would show you something personal I have been playing with. Ma had this old picture that was in need of repair. I wasn’t sure I would be able to do anything at all but I scanned it into the computer in the hopes I could do something. As you can see the color is really and which is something that happens with old photographs.
Using the HDR feature I was able to correct the color. I will tell you that it is not perfect and there was a lot of lets see if this will work. Ma would have been happy with this but you all know me. I have OCD like you would not believe and I knew there had to be a way I fix this. However since this is a side project I wasn’t sure when I was going to get the time.
Luckily I had a few moments last night to play just a bit before bed and was able to get a little further along. In the end I had to trim off some the worst spots but I think I finally have a photograph that once printed Ma will be happy with. Bluring out the background helped a lot. It hide some of the blemishes that I just couldn’t fix because it was beyond what I was capable of doing not the program. There is still that tiny spot in the corner that is driving me crazy. Now this is beyond the basic, lets add some text to an image. With Lenore’s photo above it was as simple as adding some text and a few other things. That is easy as pie and Fotor is built for that sort of stuff. This took going into each feature such as beauty and playing with things until I clicked what worked. By the way that beauty feature is awesome!
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
