Have you heard of Aigle? I will be honest and tell you that I had not although my sister in-law thought this was a major crime. However after watching their new French but Wild video I can tell you that this is a brand that I think I could love! The video itself (you will see it below) is very simple. There is no flash or hey buy this or anything of the sort. It made me want to get outside and have an adventure.
Aigle’s Badminton Game Brings “French But Wild” To The International Stage
Aigle is a pretty popular French footwear company that has a huge reputation in the industry in France and in other countries. The company evolved to also offering textiles and grew at a constant pace ever since the foundation in the year 1853. Aigle was the name chosen after a rebranding in 1967, where manufacturing was moved and starting the 2000s, the firm expanded to the US and Japan. In the year 2006 Aigle had 131 stores around the world, this being just a step in the growth. Now, Aigle is taking it one step forward with the launch of the very first international TV ad, which can be seen below.
New Aigle Signature – “French but Wild”
On October 5th we will see the launch of the new Autumn/Winter 2016 line by Aigle. This will be different than till now as the event will be tailored for an international stage. An Instagram contest is going to be held starting October 3rd on the official account of the company and on the actual launch date, the ad highlighted above is going to be officially launched at the international level.
The “French but Wild” motto is highly supported by the new film, one that features French Cancan music in order to highlight the French touch of the brand, one marked by a mindset filled with wittiness. Aigle is playing and then mixing codes, all without a focus put on being pretentious. This motto also brings in humor in a combination with the elegance the brand is currently renowned for.
Aigle now offers a collection that is specifically designed in order to face the harsh elements, making them useful for practically all conditions. The man’s nature place is highlighted, breaking limits just like Aigle has been doing for years now, ever since the 2005 new ownership.
The film that will be launched internationally on October 3rd, The Badminton Game, is the first ever brand film. It starts slowly in a garden, in a setting that reminds us of a Sunday afternoon, one with nothing special happening. 3 friends simply start a badminton game and want to have some fun. As soon as the game starts, things literally go wild. The Badminton Game takes the friends through various locations like forests and beaches.
What is really interesting with the French but Wild approach is that the focus is put on the boots and clothes is very subtle. We see the friends going through harsh weather conditions and not being affected because they are protected. At the same time, they do look great, which is very important for a textile company these days since the buyer’s focus on appearance is quite obvious at the moment.
On the whole, this is quite an interesting TV ad that will surely be successful because of the approach.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

Love it! It’s been a long time since I’ve watched an ad on purpose, but this one was so worth it. I laughed right out loud when the guy went face-down in the mud puddle. And I did not expect that eagle! Thanks so much for sharing this. 🙂

I have to admit the snow didnt do much for me, but then again I live in an area that has a whole lot of snow at times! I would love to travel, but it is not likely to happen, I do cat rescue, and while rewarding in so many ways, it is restrictive. It is tough to find someone wanting to feed ferals especially in the winter. I would love to go to Australia. No relatives there, just the wildlife and scenery would be amazing.

Yes, it’s a wonderful ad, and I agree with you about the approach.
