Fresh Baked Bread with Tribes-A-Dozen

Dec 23, 2013 | Rita

Disclosure: I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample of the product for review purposes. The opinions are my own, based on my personal experience with the product.

Trbes A Dozen

Ah…the smell of fresh baked bread. I love that smell and always have. Tribes-A-Dozen allows me to have fresh baked bread anytime, easily. Now  the first things you are going to notice is that Tribes-A-Dozen bread look very much like a traditional Jewish bread. That is because it is!

Tribes-A-Dozen is about wholesome, all natural, kosher hallah (or challah bread) – – the classic egg bread – – also referred to as barches, brioche, kalács, osterbrot, or, simply, twisted bread.

As you know we are not Jewish but this bread is so much more. If you have never experienced the glorious taste of a traditional challah bread then you don’t know what you are missing. Tribes-A-Dozen sent me three boxes of their Voila! Hallah mixes to try out and my taste buds could not be happier.

Fresh Baked Bread

The  Volia! Hallah Traditional is the bread you see in the photographs here and as you can see it looks mouth watering. This bread is traditionally braided but since I could find my bread pan I just put it in my small casserole dish. I had it divided into the balls I needed to braid it when I discovered my pan missing so that is why it looks uneven.

Buttered Slice

This bread is everything I remember it to be the one time I had it in the past. It rich and just mouth watering. There are not enough words to describe how wonderfully delicious this bread is.

Voilà! Hallah Traditional Egg Bread Mix sounds great to me I’ve never tried this kind of bread before. Actually I have not tried any of the three varieties.

I like the Paradise Blue and Starstruck because there is a subtle loudness about the design that I like. They both make a statement that say, ‘look at me’.

It’s a tough choice to choose only two but I’m going to have to go with Sand Snake and the Copperhead Snake because they are simply one word….AWESOME LOL!
