Friday has rolled around again, which means it is time for Friday Cocktails! Finally, a week that was not full of appointments. There are still plenty of things to get done and plenty to keep me busy. However, I was not spending all of my time in the doctor’s office or driving there and back. I really needed this week and the break that it offered. Especially with some other procedures coming up soon. We had two simple appointments this week. One was my uncle getting his blood pressure checked. His doctor is adjusting the medicine, and he has to keep checking each week for now. Luckily, that office is right here in our little town. Ma had an appointment with her gastroenterologist to discuss gall bladder surgery and when it would be. Neither of those appointments were long and drawn out.
Last week, I went for my three-month follow-up with my primary doctor, and he told me that he thought I needed to see a hematologist. I googled the doctor’s name and discovered that my appointment would be at the cancer center. I will say that this freaked me out more than a little bit. With everything else going on, I definitely didn’t need cancer on top of it all. After I had a comment, I realized that most hematologists are at cancer centers, and there could be a million different reasons why I need to see him.
I will just have to wait for the appointment (again, I have been doing that and just would like to have the appointment already) and then find out what is going on there. I swear, once you reach a certain age, your body just seems to fall apart all at once. Looking back, if I knew in my twenties what I know now, I would have worked harder to take better care of myself. Although several of my issues are beyond my control.
TMI But OMG!
I also had my yearly pap smear done last week and talked about feeling a certain way. I will give it to my doctor. He was going as quickly as he could, but that was one of the most painful experiences I have had in a while. I came out of that office walking. I swear I did. It has been a while since I had one of those. I know, it is not something to put off, but I did. I didn’t have a gynecologist, so my primary said he could do it, which I thought would be a breeze. Yeah, no! Beyond everything else, his office was so dang cold. I know all of this was just TMI, but good grief, this was not my best experience at an appointment. Not my worst or even most embarrassing moment, but certainly one of the top three.

Happy Friday! I hope that you are doing well. My week was pretty boring actually, I didn’t go anywhere or do anything different this week, no new shows watched or books read either. And I have yet to get started on my spring cleaning like I keep promising myself that I will do. I just can’t seem to get motivated…

Unfortunately, I’ve been fighting a bad cold all week, but luckily work was pretty slow. It has helped to not be stressed out while trying to recuperate.

Swimming twice this week and I attended a wonderful concert by the group I sang in for two years before covid. Good to see my friends in person. Glad your week was a bit quieter.
Thanks for the contest.

Yeah, that would be the way mine would go, I really need to make that appointment as for my week, my daughter is in the hospital, she keeps getting low on blood and they have to give her a transfusion but this time they are keeping her because her kidneys are working properly and her heart isn’t working efficiently either. Right now I am waiting for their far test results to come in. Thanks for sharing with me and Hope our weeks get better and of course I am looking forward to another great week of posts! Have a sunshiny day!
