Friday has rolled around again, which means it is time for Friday Cocktails! For the week, there was only one appointment, and it was with the hematologist. It was a rather long appointment, and I ended up having some bone marrow taken so they could run the tests they needed. That means waiting for the results, which y’all already know drives me up a wall. It’s the not knowing that just leads to all kinds of anxiety. I stress and stress and then it is usually nothing. Although the last month has proven that it could be something. Hopefully this doctor will be able to figure out what is going on and I can get back to normal. At least as normal as I can be.
I’m glad that things are calming down a bit. We still have some surgeries to get through and a few other things, but all in all, it looks like it will be smooth sailing for a while. At least, if the results of these tests are positive. I will make sure to do a full health update post once I have all of the various results and we know what is happening. At least we are staying busy with all of this, I guess. We could be just sitting around the house doing nothing.
Spring Time
I spent some time at Callaway Gardens recently, and I will tell you, I love visiting there in the spring. All of the flowers are in bloom, and the weather is perfect for strolling around. In the summer, it is so hot that you just can’t stand it. At least I can’t, but the spring is always perfect. I like to just walk around and connect with nature a little. Sometimes I rent a bike and go for a little ride. It’s so pretty, and I am more than a little jealous of all the flowers they manage to have bloom. I’m doing well to have one or two blooms.
Although I will admit, I am getting a little better. The trick has been to discover which flowers not only grow best here but also that I can manage and maintain. My neighbor is like “Farmer Green Jeans”! He can grow pretty much anything, and his yard makes mine look pitiful, but he is always giving me cuttings from his plantings or tips on how to make things grow better. He’s young and loves to work in the yard. His wife is that way too. All I ever think is to “wait until you get a little older and that will become harder.”

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

My daughter seems to be in a little better shape but waiting for all the doctor appointments to find out how she is doing on the infusion meds and all the other meds is a bit stressful, there’s also that fact that until they get her kidneys straight and on the right medicines, they can’t give her medicines for her heart because most of those clash with the kidney meds! but she had her 2nd infusion yesterday and did okay, so we just have to wait it out!

Mixed week – my dear friend lost her brother, so a lot of emotional support is needed. I also got a few more boxes out of storage – trying to thin out and at least downscale to a smaller unit asap
