Friday has rolled around again, which means it is time for Friday Cocktails! This week has flown by and I spent it going through old pictures with the kids. I have been meaning to scan them into the computer so I could preserve them.
I knew it would take days and I was right. It took us all week but it has been worth it. Telling the stories behind each of the pictures, laughing at some of the things we did and wore as children. The kids have loved it as well. The pictures reminded me of simpler times. Maybe not simpler but at least times when there was less pressure on me. As children we never worry about all the things the adults do. We just live our lives.
Did you have a tire swing growing up? We did and I can remember swinging in that thing for hours. It was always such fun and there wasn’t a care in the world. As I went the pictures I saw many of my parents. Both smiling and it got me to thinking, how many times did they smile at the camera or for us when the weight of the world was on their shoulders? My dad smiled and laughed as he hung that tire and then when he pushed us on it. I can only hope that he was as happy in those moments as he made us.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
