Friday has rolled around again, which means it is time for Friday Cocktails! First and foremost I need to say a huge HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my daddy! He isn’t with us anymore but that doesn’t mean we don’t still celebrate his day. You may have noticed that every week in December there has been a birthday. We have a lot in both December and August in my family. We do have plenty of September 5th as well since my grandma had three sets of twins all born on that day (different years) and it’s also my parents’ anniversary.
As the years have gone by since daddy passed away we has slowed how much we celebrate. My younger brother will call us today and we will talk a little about him, sharing some memories. It is a hard day for Ma as well. She will spend it mostly watching movies they enjoyed or just in bed. There isn’t much I can do to make her feel better about it either.
As for the rest of us, we will be getting ready for the new year. Not that there is a lot to be doing but I have some last minute work stuff to get done this afternoon. Then I will be off until January. Just a day or two to get myself in gear for all that the new year will be bringing.
Wishing you a very Happy New Year!

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
