Friday has rolled around again and that means it is time for Friday Cocktails! I swear I can’t seem to get this weekly thing together. I wish y’all could spend a day with me and see all of the things I have on my plate at the moment. I plan each day but I will admit that after spending hours in town with various appointments I am wiped out when I get home. Having a chronic illness sucks the big the one! Let me update y’all on where we are at this week and where we are going.
I spent time this morning prepping these article for the next month. That way I just have to come in add a little bit of stuff and then hit publish. it was something that I just needed to get done. I will be prepping many more articles over the weekend as well. It is a great way to help me stay on track. I just haven’t had the energy to do it lately.
Health Update
Ma’s cancer surgery went well. The doctor thinks that he got it all and we are hopeful. On Monday we spent the entire afternoon in the emergency room though because she had a temperature of 105 and her doctor wanted her to go. Everything turned out fine and they were able to bring her fever down. She is doing great today and her stitches from another surgery came out yesterday.
My uncle got his MRI on Wednesday and it was an experience that I don’t want to repeat. the hospital practically asked for my dna in order to take him in there. Then registration was towards the back rather than the front which means I had to walk way more than I needed to. We have to go to the dermatologist the last day of the month about his psoriasis and then the cardiologist and vascular surgeon to find out if he needs a bypass or not. After that it is to the brain and spine surgeon to find out what needs to be done about his back.
If that’s not enough! I had a day this week where I moved from green to yellow on my symptom checker (I promise I will do a post about this) and ended up going over to see my cardiologist. He ordered blood work and then I have a full day at the heart clinic in two weeks. I am scheduled to get a ECC, a carotid artery ultrasound, a stress test, and get a holster monitor put on that I have to wear for a week. Yeah, it has been a lot. Hopefully everything will be fine but we are taking it one day at a time.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
