
Friday has rolled around again and that means it is time for Friday Cocktails! It’s the first Friday of the new year and Friday Cocktails have started again! I know many of you have been waiting for this to come back because you like the giveaways.
4 Things I’m Loving Right Now

Five Year Journal: Journals are great for starting a new year. I like this one because it is undated and you can choose to write a little each day. Maybe you you want to keep up with certain events only or whatever. Not to mention it is pretty.
Plaid Flannel Dress: I am all about easy dressing. This dress has allowed me to easily throw it on and then change into the hospital gown I have had to put on so often this past week. I wear it with a pair of tights and simple flats since I will taking it off.


Quilted Belted Jacket: Again it is about easy. I need to stay warm going from the car to the hospital or doctor’s office yet need to be able to easily slip it on and off. This just has a simple belt to keep it closed which I love.
Allegro Ballet Flat: These are the flats that I wear with the dress. Again, it is all about them being easy to get on and off. I hate having to take my shoes off at the hospital and the doctor’s office when I get certain tests. It really drives me up a wall. So when I can put them back on I try to make sure they will go on just as quickly as they went off.

Happy Friday! This year I will be walking outside more often. The COVID pandemic has kept mt housebound for the better part of the last two years and I have missed walking around outside enjoying the scenery and the changing seasons
I am trying to stress less about the things I can’t really do anything about this year.
Building self-discipline with regard to exercise.
I’ve cut back on my snacking since January 1st. I hope to see some results soon.
I am scheduling time for myself at least once a week with no interruptions from outside sources.
This year have gone dairy free – lactose intolerance.
This year unlike last year I am aiming for at least 7 hours of sleep each night!
I plan on sewing more clothes for my girls.
Making a serious effort to drag myself out of depression and find reasons to be joyful
I am getting in shape in 2022 that is one thing that I did not do in 2021.
I’m doing some crafts this year. I haven’t done any in a while.

I am spending more time on self care.

I am working at staying in contact with my friends and family.
I’m going to spend less time on the computer.
I will be getting a regular massage once a month.

I am not really doing anything different from last year.
The one major thing I’m doing differently this year is I’m NOT watching the news every night. I take a break so that I don’t get overwhelmed with the Covid numbers and all the other bad news. That stuff is just so darn draining. God bless and I hope you all have a much better 2022!
