Friday has rolled around again, which means it is time for Friday Cocktails! This week saw us returning to my brother’s house from Nashville. We had a great time and then we were off to Charleston! I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun it has been for the last two weeks.
There is only a small amount of time left on vacation and while I am sad, I will say that I will be glad to sleep in my own bed again. There is nothing like sleeping in your own bed when you have been away. I will not like having to sort through all of the mail and do all of the laundry I will have to when I head back but it’s just par for the course.
The trip down to Charleston came about because my sister in-law said she wanted to good seafood and I agreed. I then made the statement that we needed to go back to Edisto maybe next year. We had a blast since it was adults only that weekend but now the kids are older and I think they would enjoy it as well.
So, my brother said when we get back from Nashville how about we go over Charleston? We could play on the beach for an hour, then wander around for a bit, eat, and come home. It was long and exhausting but fun. I love that he suggested it as well. My sister in-law was happy she got some beach time in this year even if it was only an hour.

My week was a fun one, because we started it out celebrating my sister’s birthday.
This was another uneventful week for me, we had a break in the heat wave though for a few days, trying to prepare myself for the next one but in truth I am looking forward to October!
My week was okay but I wish fall would come already. I hate this stifling heat and humidity.

My week was quite lovely. We saw a family friend that we haven’t seen in almost 3 years. It’s always nice to see the people that you love no matter how much time has passed.
I spent at the pool with my daughter. I also had some appointments and did some decluttering.
My week was crazy busy preparing for this heat wave that we are currently in. I had to stock up on food and drinks and purchase extra fans for the house. I was up early this morning cooking hamburgers for dinner tonight It is 112 here today and that is just misery. I am praying this heat wave ends soon.

I tried to stay as cool as possible and well. A peaceful week.
My week was okay. The weather was cooler, but lots of downpours and storms. So I didn’t get in the garden much. Oh, well.

Its been crazy busy this week. We ended up buying another truck today since our suv needs to go to the shop this week. Ugh.
