Friday Cocktails – March 24, 2023

Friday Cocktails – March 24 2023

Friday has rolled around again, which means it is time for Friday Cocktails! It has been a long week let me tell you. I have been trying to work a little each day. It is not easy but I am getting some done little by little. I am feeling better since I am at home.

Finding a new normal at home is more than a little difficult and something I will be talking about with y’all more in depth next month. I admit I am struggling both mentally and physically. It feels as though I am useless when that couldn’t be further from the truth.

I know that I used to list all of the things I was up to in these posts each week but honestly it hasn’t been a lot. It’s been therapy, a little work, and then back to bed. Sitting in this wheelchair everyday is driving me up a wall. Okay, enough of a pity party! The weeks will change and soon I will be up and around doing more.

It was an exceptionally annoying week (dumb little stuff, but lots of it), so I’m glad to see it go! I think you just need to be kind to yourself right now…a hospital stay is major upheaval, so of course you won’t feel 100% mentally, emotionally, or physically for a while!

It was another busy week for me and it is looking like that will be the norm for the next few months or so. The highlight of my week was talking to my son Derek on the phone, I haven’t seen him since he moved to Florida last summer

I have just been dealing with a stray cat that came to my house. I bought him inside and he howled for 2 days. I have put found notices everywhere. He got out by tearing a screen, but he’s still here. I fixed him a safe place in my yard with shelter and am still feeding him.
