Friday has rolled around again and that means it is time for Friday Cocktails! TCan you believe we are already into March? It is crazy and things have been so busy. I got the heart monitor off and saw the doctor. I will share everything about that in another post with you all. It seems like this year is just flying by and before we know it, Easter is going to be here. Isn’t that crazy? One of the hardest things about this year so far has been not having the kids with me day in and day out.
I also use a shared Google Calendar so everyone can see all of the appointments. the other day my uncle happened to be looking at them and asked why he had to see our primary care doctor two days in a row. I told he didn’t and he told me to check the calendar then. When I did I noticed the calendar said Rita – Pap Smear -Dr. Duraksi and told he that was my appointment. His was the next day and asked him why he thought he needed a pap smear. He said he didn’t but you just never know! He’s a nut!
Monitor
I spent most of yesterday at the heart clinic having various tests done. They are just to see where I am at right now with everything. Making sure things aren’t getting worse. It was a long and exhausting day if I am being honest. I also got fitted for a Holster Monitor which I have to wear for a few days.
While this is fairly easy to wear it is a pain in the butt. I can’t shower while I am wearing it. I also can’t use my electric blanket or the microwave. It is used to monitor what is going on with my heart while I am not in a clinical setting. I just go about my normal day and routine. the monitor records everything that is going on. I have to keep a log of any symptoms or whatever I am having as well.
Like I said this is more a pain than anything else. I can only do light exercise because I can’t sweat since I can’t shower. However i will endure it if it figures out what is going on and what we need to do to fix the problem.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

My health is deteriorating as I age and gained a great deal of weight as COVID kept me house bound for the better part of the past two years. I know that a sedentary lifestyle leads to poor health all around and I am sad to say that I have yet to address the issue even as pandemic restrictions are being lifted. I just don’t have the energy to get out and about or even get back to my physician to get all of the routine testing done that I put off during the pandemic. Intuitively, I know that it is a never ending cycle, the less energy I spend, the less I have to spend and so on…

I know my health isn’t great and there are a multitude of problems, I haven’t been to the doctor in a lot of years,. I’m trying to get my situation now into some kind of way that allows me to take of me instead of just everyone else. I am keeping your and your family in my thoughts and prayers and I enjoyed the past weeks blog posts! Thanks for sharing them with me and of course for sharing the Friday Cocktails with me! Have a TGIF day!
